Infected by Belief
Understanding the Psychology of Propaganda and the Spectrum of Influence
Everyone alive today was born into this system of propaganda. If you think you are not affected, you are lying to yourself.
Understanding how this happened and its effect on the human psyche is the first step to freeing ourselves and ending the wars it fuels within families, communities, nations, and within our own heads.
The good news? We all have the power.
The question is: Will we use it?
The only way out is in.
Relentless media coverage of Gaza and Ukraine is the product of decades of deliberate psychological warfare. Phrases like “We must defend Ukraine,” paired with images of suffering children and labels like “Putin the tyrant,” activate fear that drowns out our moral instincts. We would never teach our children that killing is good, much less sanction the brutal killing of so many. Yet we direct our rage at Putin and support the war “to protect Ukrainians.” Why?
Who orchestrates this system, this notorious “Deep State?” Governments and “elected” officials. Billionaire weapons manufacturers. CIA-directed NGOs designed to destabilize nations from within. Corrupted Courts. Big Tech and corporate media suppressing truth while broadcasting outright lies to distract with villain narratives 24/7. Education systems like Harvard that conceal racism in diversity-speak to sow division. A fashion industry selling impossible ideals to fuel self-hate and cosmetic sales.
This is intergenerational manipulation, perfected over decades, funded by public money and fueling the trafficking of global resources—including our women and children—all the while manufacturing our support for their endless wars.
Propaganda has us cheering the politicians because of their skin color who support it, who then tell us they’re powerless to stop it, even as they themselves are knowingly participating in and profiting from a system designed to steal our children in plain sight while we fight amongst ourselves.
The very definition of evil.
The Power of Belief in an Age of Mass Indoctrination
Propaganda manipulates belief systems using manufactured voices of culture: targeted repetition of emotional triggers, images and coordinated lies (“Trump is stealing democracy”) pumped through social media, implanting messages of “us vs. them” literally into our brains—sowing seeds of war in the psyche, creating tyrants to destroy and victims to save.
The repetitive voices of culture blasting at us 24/7 begin to dismantle specific parts of the human psyche that control our decision-making functions. When we bypass our own intuitive systems to say yes to war because we are triggered to fear, we each become a prisoner of our own individual ideology without realizing it.
We have become weapons of mass projection, directing our feelings of hate and fear onto others, thinking if we destroy them we will be safe. This basic premise is the root of the conflict in the human operating system that is our psyche.
Tipping Point
Humanity has now reached a crisis point. As the truth comes out about the realities of COVID—that our government waged a war to murder us, lied unapologetically about it across all facets of media, censored those who presented the facts that are now coming out in Senate testimony and pitted us against our neighbors—we are coming to the day of reckoning.
With the devastating truth finally emerging—that the risks of the COVID vaccines far outweighed any theoretical benefits and they knew it and intentionally lied to us—how will the world, especially those who believed, deal with the psychological, physical and spiritual repercussions of what this truly means?
COVID propaganda convinced many of us to hate and fear our neighbors as the unvaccinated were declared “the problem.”
Many allowed ourselves to be coerced out of fear into poisoning our children. We agreed to let our parents die alone, to be torn apart and isolated, to close down our churches, choke ourselves wearing masks and damage the IQ of our kids.
The other half, fighting for the truth to emerge, were labeled dangerous. In fact, the CIA put people who refused to take the poison on “Domestic Violence Terrorist” list.
How will young mothers cope when they realize they were manipulated into supporting something so horrific—believing they were protecting their children, only to find out they were used as pawns in a much darker agenda?
When the truth comes out, how will anyone who acted in good faith reconcile the unbearable reality that they were tools in the hands of corrupt politicians and media figures who exploited their trust to carry out unspeakable harm?
The crash ahead is not monetary; its psycho-spiritual.
What is Propaganda?
Propaganda is not merely misinformation; it is a well-designed psychological operation to manufacture opinions, emotions, and behaviors for political or ideological purposes. Unlike education, which encourages critical thought, propaganda seeks compliance. It uses emotional appeal, repetition, and selective information to construct a false sense of reality.
Proven devastatingly effective in Nazi Germany, these psychological tactics were employed in the U.S. after WWII, culminating in global thought control via the devices now in every hand across the world.
Key characteristics of enforcement:
Emotional manipulation (fear, shame, guilt)
Repetitive, mandatory group think
Enemy creation: “us” vs “them”
Suppression of dissenting views
Hero/villain narratives
The Spectrum of Psychological Influence
Propaganda operates across a spectrum of levels of subsumption—from subtle influence to full psychological capture. Just like disease, it affects people in varying degrees of severity. The spectrum ranges I’ve observed in my personal research go from unaffected skeptics to those fully psychologically captured:
How the Mind Defends the Propaganda Infection
Drawing on Leon Festinger's theory of Cognitive Dissonance, people under the influence of propaganda defend their worldview in increasingly irrational ways. Motivated reasoning—accepting information that supports one’s belief while rejecting evidence to the contrary—creates a nearly impenetrable wall around indoctrinated identity.
Defensive tactics include:
Dismissal: "That source is biased."
Projection: Accusing others of the very manipulation they have absorbed
Identity fusion: Believing that rejecting the narrative is rejecting oneself
Dehumanization of others: "They are dangerous."
Denial and Distancing: “They’ve gone crazy so I will cancel them.”
Extreme Psychosis: Being convinced your mother is going to kill the grandchildren because she voted for Trump.
Real-world example: In Nazi Germany, propaganda led some parents to cheer the execution of their own children, whom they believed were traitors. The mother who appaluded her son's hanging is an extreme but illustrative case. This type of extreme mental fragmentation finds eerie parallels in the documented experiments of MKUltra, the covert CIA mind control program that spanned the 1950s through the 1970s.
Under MKUltra, subjects were intentionally broken down through a combination of trauma, drug-induced states (especially LSD), isolation, and repetition of conflicting narratives—often with the goal of erasing the individual’s identity to create a new, more controllable self. Then in turn, those people can become weapons, such as is alleged of Charles Manson and the Butler shooter.
"What Have We Done?"
Now with the truth surfacing, we face the most difficult task of all: coming to terms with what we allowed ourselves to believe, support, and enforce.
This isn’t about shame—it’s about awakening and healing. We must look unflinchingly at how we allowed ourselves to be deceived, not to dwell in guilt, but to ensure we are never used this way again.
Because if we don't confront it, we will repeat it. And the next time, the cost may be far greater.
